A Kiss from Rose | You Are In Control of the Hardship

Hard times don't last forever, but what are you doing to change your situation? Are you ready to face the reality of that change? Where is your faith in God? It's easy to ask, "What have I done to get in this situation?" It's a hard and clear mirror to look into, but we all must do it with transparency and honesty. Lying to yourself won't help, and neither will avoiding the necessary changes.

No one wants to hear the harsh truth, and neither did I. But once I took accountability and became responsible, things began to shift and change. When I looked in the mirror, my mother wasn't there. My father wasn't there. My grandmother wasn't there. My friends weren't there. My spouse wasn't there. Only me. Yes, little old me.

I had to "piss or get off the pot" and make something happen. I had to get driven and motivated. Once I realized that, I also realized God was in the mirror with His arms out.

Whew, powerful!

I was so busy blaming everyone and everything or avoiding the issue that I didn't realize I had help. Everything I ever needed was looking back at me in the mirror: me and God.

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight." - Proverbs 3:5-6

Take a moment to reflect:

- What are you doing to change your situation?

- Are you ready to face the reality of that change?

- Where is your faith in God?

Accountability and responsibility are key. Look in the mirror with honesty and see that God is there with you, ready to guide you through any hardship.
