A Kiss from Rose | When You Lie To Someone Who Knows The Truth

💥 That’s not just deception — that’s a decision to disrespect their wisdom, insult their discernment, and gamble with trust you may never get back.
📌 Here’s the hard truth:
When you lie to someone who already knows, you’re not fooling them.
You’re exposing yourself.
Their silence? That’s not ignorance.
Their calmness? That’s not confusion.
It’s restraint. It’s grace. It’s them watching to see who you really are.
You’re not just lying to them — you’re lying in front of them.
📉 And that lie? It costs more than the truth ever would.
• It costs credibility.
• It costs closeness.
• It costs character.
You knew better.
But ego said lie.
Fear said cover it up.
Pride said “they’ll never know.”
But your spirit knew the whole time: this is not right.
📖 Proverbs 14:25 says:
“A truthful witness saves lives, but one who breathes out lies is deceitful.”
When you lie to someone who sees through you — it’s not just deceit.
It’s arrogance. It’s spiritual immaturity.
🛑 And let’s be clear:
• That lie might protect your image, but it destroys your integrity.
• That lie might get you out of a moment, but it locks you into a cycle.
• That lie might feel easier now, but it will haunt you later.
💡 TRUTH CHECK
You think you’re getting away with it…
But the truth is:
• They saw it.
• They felt it.
• They prayed about it.
• And God already revealed it.
They just haven’t said anything yet — because they’re waiting on God’s instruction, not your explanation.
📌 So what now?
✔️ Own it.
✔️ Confess it.
✔️ Apologize without excuses.
✔️ Grow from it.
✔️ Don’t do it again.
That person’s grace is not your license to repeat.
Their silence is not your shield — it’s their maturity.
God is watching how you handle truth — not how well you avoid it.
🙏🏽 PRAYER:
Lord,
Forgive me for lying — especially to the ones who love me, trust me, and already knew the truth.
I repent for choosing my comfort over their clarity.
I repent for trying to protect my image more than preserving my integrity.
Heal the damage I’ve caused — and help me make it right.
Give me the courage to confess, not cover.
Give me the strength to face what I’ve broken and the humility to repair it.
Don’t let me live in deception any longer.
Make me trustworthy again.
Teach me to value truth the way You do.
Help me walk in light, not shadows.
And if I’ve damaged someone’s heart in the process — give them peace, even if I don’t deserve their forgiveness yet.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
💌 Grandma’s Corner Reminder:
Baby, when someone already knows the truth and still gives you the chance to come clean — that’s a gift.
Don’t insult that grace with more lies.
Tell the truth. Be real.
Because what you lie to keep, you’ll eventually lose.
