“Then the Lord said to him, ‘What is that in your hand?’ ‘A staff,’ he replied.” – Exodus 4:2 (NIV)
When God called Moses, He didn’t ask for something Moses didn’t have. He didn’t demand a title, wealth, or a crowd. He simply asked, “What’s in your hand?” What Moses saw as just a staff—ordinary, familiar—God saw as the beginning of miracles.
So many times, we ask God to bless us with more, not realizing He’s already given us something to work with. A talent. A voice. An idea. A business. A testimony. A gift. Your miracle is often tied to what’s already in your possession—you just haven’t surrendered it yet.
When you place what you have in God’s hands, He puts His super on your natural. He multiplies. He breathes life into what felt small and turns it into something that shifts destinies.
Don’t overlook what you’re holding. It may not seem like much to you—but in the hands of God, it’s more than enough.
What have I been overlooking that God is waiting for me to surrender?
Lord, open my eyes to what’s already in my hand. Help me to stop minimizing my gifts, doubting my value, or delaying obedience. I give You what I have, even if it feels small. Use it for Your glory. Multiply it beyond my understanding. Show me how to work what You’ve already given.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
