A Kiss from Rose | Weekend Prayer
Cover Us, Keep Us & Refresh Us
Heavenly Father, thank You for carrying us through another week. Before we rush into this weekend, we stop and acknowledge You. Thank You for every danger You blocked, every need You supplied, every prayer You answered, and even the things You handled that we knew absolutely nothing about.
Lord, cover this weekend from beginning to end. Go before us in every place our feet will travel. Protect our homes, our families, our children, our grandchildren, our vehicles, our finances, and everything connected to us. Give Your angels charge over us to keep us in all our ways according to Psalm 91:11.
Father, where this week exhausted us, restore us. Where we became discouraged, strengthen us. Where our minds became overloaded, quiet the noise. Give us permission to rest without guilt, laugh without worry, enjoy ourselves without fear, and appreciate the life You have given us.
Let this weekend bring good news, genuine love, unexpected kindness, healthy conversations, safe spaces, peaceful surroundings, and moments that make our hearts smile. Remove us from anything toxic, dangerous, deceptive, or disguised as something good. Sharpen our discernment so we recognize what comes from You and have the wisdom to walk away from what does not.
Lord, let no weapon formed against us prosper. Order our steps according to Your Word. If we are headed somewhere we shouldn’t be, redirect us. If we’re about to make the wrong decision, interrupt it. If something isn’t for us, don’t let our emotions convince us that it is.
And Father, somewhere this weekend, surprise us with Your goodness.
Send the phone call.
Send the opportunity.
Send the encouragement.
Send the confirmation.
Send the laughter.
Send the rest.
Send whatever You know our souls need.
Your Word says, “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life.” — Psalm 23:6.
So we enter this weekend expecting goodness and mercy to find us.
May we return from this weekend rested, protected, replenished, grateful, and better than we entered it.
We place the entire weekend in Your hands.
Cover it. Bless it. Lead it. Protect it. And be glorified in it.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
