A Kiss from Rose | There is Room to Love

Love is not limited.

It was never meant to be boxed in, rationed, or reserved for just one name.

If you only love one parent, the other is missing out — and so are you.

If you only love your mother, where does that leave your wife?

If you only pour into your children, what about your parents, your friends, your neighbors, your community?

Love was designed to stretch, to grow, to multiply.

It is not loyalty to only love one person — sometimes, it is fear disguised as loyalty.

Fear of being vulnerable again.

Fear of being disappointed again.

Fear of losing again.

But here is the truth — if you only allow yourself to love one person and they pass away, what happens to you?

Will you be consumed by grief, isolated in sorrow, because you never let anyone else in?

You were not created to walk this life alone.

You were not meant to carry love for only one soul when God placed many in your path.

Look at Jesus.

He loved John, the disciple who laid his head on His chest — but He also deeply loved Lazarus, Mary, and Martha.

Different kinds of relationships, but each one held a space in His heart.

Look at David and Jonathan.

David had many relationships in his life — but the love and loyalty he had for Jonathan was powerful and sacred.

Yet that did not stop David from loving others, including his friend Nathan and the mighty men who stood with him through battle.

Love does not run out.

It deepens. It expands.

It makes room.

Let yourself love.

Let yourself receive love from more than one source.

Let people in.

Because when love flows from many places, grief never has the power to isolate you.

And connection becomes your covering.

“Let all that you do be done with love.” — 1 Corinthians 16:
