A Kiss from Rose | The Lies You Tell

When will you get tired? Tired of praying something away, only to keep running back to it. Yes, God will always answer when you call on Him, but that’s not the point—aren’t you exhausted? Exhausted from the cycle, from the words that sound good but hold no weight in action.

Are you truly putting in the effort, or are you just saying what you think others want to hear? Do you want people to stand with you, believing the same lies you tell yourself, just to feel a little less guilty?

But there’s freedom in the truth. Telling yourself the truth—no matter how hard it may be—gives you a chance to start again, to truly change. Maybe the truth is, you’re just not ready yet. And that’s okay. Admitting that you’re not ready is far better than pretending you are. It’s the first step to becoming who you want to be.
