"Do not stress the could haves. If it could have, it would have." This powerful reminder encourages us to let go of the past and trust in God's plan for our lives.
When we stress about what could have been, we are dwelling on circumstances beyond our control. The "should haves" and "could haves" represent our regrets and missed opportunities, but they do not define us. God's wisdom and guidance are far beyond our understanding, and He has a perfect plan for each of us.
Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight." Instead of dwelling on what might have been, we should place our trust in God, who sees the bigger picture.
God always will provide for us and guide us through every trial. Philippians 4:6-7 says, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
Remember that God sees you and everything going on around you. He is not oblivious to your struggles or pain. Psalm 34:17-18 assures us, "The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; He delivers them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit."
Hold your tears in, lift your head up, straighten your back, and keep walking forward. We are only in the third quarter of our journey. God's timing is perfect, and He is working behind the scenes for our good. Romans 8:28 encourages us, "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose."
God just winked at you—now sit back and watch Him work. Trust in His plan, for He is faithful and will never leave you nor forsake you.
