“Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.”
— Ecclesiastes 4:12 (NIV)
Marriage is not just a moment at the altar — it is a daily choice. A covenant.
It’s sustaining love when life ain’t pretty.
It’s choosing grace when you’re both tired, irritable, and misunderstood.
It’s doing the small things… even when you want to be seen for the big ones.
It’s not always flowers and vacations.
Sometimes it’s forgiveness through clenched teeth.
Sometimes it’s prayer through tears.
But when God is the third strand, the glue, the oxygen in your vows —
that marriage doesn’t just survive.
It breathes. It blooms. It sustains.
So today, don’t look at what’s broken — look at what’s still standing.
Don’t measure the marriage by the mess — measure it by the mercy.
Let your love stretch, bend, adapt… but never break.
And never forget:
Marriage isn’t just about two people.
It’s about what God is doing through two people who refuse to give up.
Declaration:
I declare my marriage is blessed, sustained, and strengthened by God.
I commit to love with patience, lead with grace, and listen with humility.
Our love will mature, deepen, and reflect the heart of God.
We will walk in unity, speak life, and always return to our first love — God.
We are not just staying together.
We are growing together.
