A Kiss from Rose | Reflecting on Life Choices

If given the opportunity to start life over at the age of 18, many would pause to consider the path they’ve traveled. Would the same decisions be made again? Would the same city be chosen, the same career pursued, or the same relationships maintained? Would the dynamics of parenting and family life remain unchanged, or would different choices be sought?

When one reflects on the choices of the past and takes a sincere look in the mirror, the most important question is whether there is genuine happiness with the outcomes. Is there peace with the person that life’s choices have shaped? It’s vital to take this moment to assess whether there is fulfillment in each part of life and to face the truth, no matter how difficult it may be.

If someone isn’t fully content with their choices, this is a reminder not to criticize others for the paths they’ve chosen. Each of us walks a unique journey, shaped by our experiences, lessons, and challenges. Instead of judging others, it’s an opportunity to focus on personal growth, making the necessary changes for a more fulfilling life.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, we come to You with humble hearts, acknowledging our past decisions and the direction they have led us. Guide us as we reflect on our lives, granting us wisdom to understand where we may need change. If we find areas of dissatisfaction or regret, give us the strength and courage to make new, better choices. Help us to release judgment of others, knowing that everyone walks their own path. Fill our hearts with peace and contentment, trusting that with Your guidance, we can always move forward with purpose. In Jesus’ name, we pray, Amen.
