A Kiss from Rose | PSALM 7 — GOD, YOU JUDGE WHAT I CANNOT
There comes a point when you have to stop defending yourself to everybody and place the entire situation in God’s hands. Psalm 7 is for those moments when you’ve been accused, misunderstood, pursued, or spoken against and you realize, I don’t have to fight this battle myself.
“O LORD my God, in thee do I put my trust: save me from all them that persecute me, and deliver me.” — Psalm 7:1 (KJV)
David took his case to God, but here’s what makes this Psalm powerful: he also gave God permission to examine him.
“O LORD my God, if I have done this; if there be iniquity in my hands…” — Psalm 7:3 (KJV)
In other words:
God, if it’s me—show me.
If I’m wrong, correct me. If my heart isn’t right, clean it. If I owe an apology, humble me. But if I’m being falsely accused, intentionally misrepresented, or unfairly attacked, Father, handle what I cannot.
That takes maturity.
Because real faith doesn’t only ask God to expose other people. Real faith is willing to be examined too.
People may judge what they heard.
God knows what happened.
People see pieces.
God sees the entire picture.
People may misunderstand your heart.
God searches it.
“For the righteous God trieth the hearts and reins.” — Psalm 7:9 (KJV)
So stop exhausting yourself trying to correct every version of you that exists in someone else’s mind. You don’t have to retaliate, match anyone’s behavior, or explain yourself into exhaustion.
Keep your hands clean. Keep your heart submitted. Keep your mouth disciplined.
David reminds us:
“He made a pit, and digged it, and is fallen into the ditch which he made.” — Psalm 7:15 (KJV)
Baby, stay out of the pit.
You don’t have to climb down there because somebody else dug it.
Let God handle what belongs to God.

Lord, search me first. If I’m wrong, correct me. If I’m right, keep me humble. If I’m being attacked, protect me. If something is hidden, reveal it. And whatever judgment belongs to You, I refuse to carry it.
Psalm 7 ends with David praising God—not seeking revenge.
“I will praise the LORD according to his righteousness…” — Psalm 7:17 (KJV)
And maybe that’s the lesson:
You don’t need the last word when you’ve given the matter to God.
God saw it.
God knows the truth.
God knows your heart.
Let Him judge what you cannot—and you keep your peace, your character, and your praise.
