A Kiss from Rose | Prayer

Father God,

In a world that often rewards pride and sharp tongues, teach me to remain kind.

Guard my heart from becoming hard.

Guard my spirit from becoming defensive.

Guard my words from becoming careless.

When I am misunderstood, help me respond with grace.

When I am frustrated, help me choose patience.

When I am right, help me stay humble.

Lord, let kindness not be weakness in me but strength under control.

Let compassion be my instinct, not my exception.

Let humility anchor me so that success never changes my posture before You or people.

Remove pride that disguises itself as confidence.

Remove ego that competes instead of connects.

Remove the need to prove myself in every room.

Teach me to listen more than I speak.

To understand before I react.

To extend mercy the same way I hope to receive it.

If someone wounds me, give me the discipline not to wound back.

If someone is struggling, give me eyes to see beyond behavior and into hurt.

If I begin to drift into self importance, gently correct me.

Make me a reflection of Christ.

Kind in tone.

Compassionate in action.

Humble in spirit.

Let my life speak louder than my ego ever could.

In Jesus’ name,

Amen.
