HYPE GOD UP!

If you can brag on everybody else, surely you can brag on the One who keeps making a way.

Baby, sometimes you need to HYPE GOD UP! 

We hype up our children.

We hype up our friends.

We hype up our favorite team, restaurant, hairstylist, business, singer, and somebody we just met who had on a cute pair of shoes.

“Baby, you DID that!”

But when was the last time you started talking about God like you were genuinely excited about who He is?

Not asking Him for anything.

Not presenting another prayer request.

Not handing Him today’s emergency.

Just:

“GOD, YOU HAVE BEEN GOOD TO ME!”

David said:

“O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together.” — Psalm 34:3 (KJV)

Now, we can’t make God bigger than He already is.

To magnify Him is to make much of Him—to turn our attention toward His greatness.

So hype Him up!

He kept me when I didn’t know how I was going to keep myself.

He provided.

He protected.

He corrected me when I needed correcting.

He comforted me when my heart was hurting.

He gave me wisdom when I didn’t know what decision to make.

He opened doors.

He closed some doors—and THANK GOD He did! 

He gave me another morning.

Another chance.

Another opportunity to get it right.

And there are prayers I’m living in right now that I once cried while asking Him to answer.

HYPE GOD UP!

💌 Grandma’s Corner

Sometimes we’re so focused on what we’re still waiting for that we forget to celebrate what God has already done.

You may still have a prayer on the table, but look around.

You’re still here.

You’re still standing.

You’re still growing.

You’re still believing.

You survived days you weren’t sure you could survive.

You’ve made it through things that should have taken more out of you than they did.

And through it all—

GOD HAS BEEN FAITHFUL.

Psalm 150:2 says:

“Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness.”

That’s your permission right there.

Talk about Him!

Brag on Him!

Praise Him!

Tell somebody what He brought you through.

Tell somebody how He made a way.

Tell somebody how you almost gave up—but somehow found strength for another day.

And don’t wait until everything is perfect before you praise Him.

Praise Him while you’re waiting.

Praise Him while you’re building.

Praise Him while you’re healing.

Praise Him while you’re figuring it out.

Praise Him because your praise isn’t only about what God gives.

It’s about WHO GOD IS.

So today, I’m not asking God for another thing before I stop and give Him His flowers.

God, YOU’VE been good.

YOU’VE been faithful.

YOU’VE been patient with me.

YOU’VE carried me.

YOU’VE loved me.

YOU’VE kept me.

And if somebody asks me why I’m making such a big deal about God…

I’m going to say, “pull up a chair!”

HOW MUCH TIME DO YOU HAVE?

Because if I can hype everybody else up for what they’ve done—

I can certainly HYPE GOD UP for everything He’s done for me.

And I’m not whispering it either.

GOD, YOU DID THAT!
