IF GOD SAT ON THE EDGE OF YOUR BED…

What Would You Finally Tell Him?

Imagine tonight, in the quietest part of your room, God sat on the edge of your bed. No church. No music. No audience. No need to sound spiritual. Just you and God.

What would you say?

Would you finally admit, “God, I’m tired”? Would you ask why He allowed something that hurt you so deeply? Would you tell Him you’re scared about your future? Would you confess that you’ve been smiling for everybody else while privately falling apart?

Maybe you’d say, “I trust You, Lord… but I don’t understand You right now.”

And maybe God would say, “Finally. Talk to Me.”

Not the rehearsed prayer.

Not the words you think you’re supposed to say.

Tell Me what hurts. Tell Me what you’re afraid of. Tell Me what you miss. Tell Me what you want. Tell Me where you’re angry. I already know—I just want you to bring it to Me.

And after you poured everything out, maybe you’d ask:

“God… what do You have to say to me?”

And while we shouldn’t pretend to put words directly into God’s mouth beyond Scripture, His Word has already given us an answer:

“Fear thou not; for I am with thee… I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee.” — Isaiah 41:10 (KJV)

Maybe that’s what your heart needs to remember.

I am with you.

You thought you were carrying it alone.

I was there.

You cried where nobody could hear you.

I was there.

You questioned whether you could make it another day.

I was there.

You made mistakes.

My grace was still there.

You thought your story was finished.

I’m still writing.

💌 Grandma’s Corner

If God sat on the edge of your bed tonight, maybe you wouldn’t need a sermon.

Maybe you would just need to cry and talk.

And perhaps after everything had been said, you’d realize something beautiful:

You never needed God to physically sit on your bed to have that conversation.

He’s been listening the whole time.

So tonight, take off the spiritual mask.

Sit down.

Tell Him everything.

Then get quiet enough to let His Word remind you of what your emotions made you forget.

You are heard.

You are seen.

And you are not sitting in that room alone.
