“Better is a little with righteousness than great revenues with injustice.” – Proverbs 16:8 (NIV)
There are seasons where you may feel like you’re running on empty—emotionally, financially, spiritually, or relationally. But hear this: lack is not a license to settle.
Just because you’re in a dry place doesn’t mean you have to drink from a dirty well.
God never called you to desperation—He called you to discernment. He’s not just concerned with filling your hands; He’s focused on protecting your heart. Some offers, relationships, and opportunities may come dressed like blessings, but they’re actually distractions in disguise.
You are worth more than a temporary fix. You are worthy of God’s best—not just what’s available, but what’s appointed.
Don’t compromise your standards because your situation feels urgent. God can do more with your empty surrendered hands than you can do grabbing what was never meant for you.
Am I settling for what’s available, or waiting for what’s divine?
Lord, I may feel like I don’t have much right now, but I won’t let lack make me lower my standards. Remind me that You are my source, my provider, and my guide. Help me to wait for Your best and not accept just anything that comes my way. Give me strength in the waiting, and clarity in the choosing. I trust You more than my current situation.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
