A Kiss from Rose | “I Can Do All Things Through Christ” (Philippians 4:13)

Let’s not just quote it—let’s understand it.

📖

Scripture

“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”

— Philippians 4:13 (KJV)

💡 What Does This Really Mean?

This verse is more than a motivational quote. It’s a declaration of dependency—a supernatural strength that comes only from being connected to Christ. Paul wrote this not from a place of comfort, but from a prison cell. Yes—he was locked up but still full of faith.

It’s not about doing everything your way, but doing everything God has assigned to you—with His power flowing through you.

✨ Let’s Break It Down:

1.

“I Can Do…”

Not might do, not maybe do—can. This is confidence, not cockiness. It’s rooted in belief, not ego. This part reminds you that you’re capable—but not alone.

2.

“All Things…”

Yes, ALL. Not just church things. Not just spiritual things. All things:

  • Raising kids

  • Starting a business

  • Healing from grief

  • Leaving toxic habits

  • Forgiving deep wounds

  • Making it through the day

Nothing is too big or too small for God to help you with.

3.

“Through Christ…”

Here’s the key: the source of the power. It’s not self-help, it’s God-help. You aren’t the plug—you’re connected to the plug.

4.

“Who Strengthens Me.”

This isn’t a one-time boost. It’s a daily refill. Strength to endure, to resist, to walk in purpose, to speak up, to let go, to keep going.

🛑 Let’s Be Clear:

This verse does not mean:

  • You’ll never struggle

  • Everything will go your way

  • You’re guaranteed success without sacrifice

It means you are never doing it alone. When it gets hard, you won’t break—you’ll bend into grace.

🪞 Ask Yourself:

  • Am I relying on Christ or just on my grind?

  • Do I believe He gives me strength, or am I trying to survive on empty?

  • What “thing” have I been afraid to do that He already gave me the power for?

🙏🏽

Prayer

Lord, I thank You that I don’t have to do life alone. Remind me daily that my strength is not my own, but it flows through You. Let this scripture not just live in my mouth, but in my walk, my choices, and my faith. Strengthen me again, Lord… for every assignment, every hardship, every calling, every moment. In Jesus’ name, amen.

💌 Grandma’s Note:

Baby, don’t let life talk you out of your strength. You got divine help. You got holy backup. Don’t forget who’s working through you.
