A Kiss from Rose | I Am Reminded of His Provision

There’s something truly remarkable about reflecting on the past and seeing how God’s hand has been in every moment. When I look back at the challenges I’ve faced, the obstacles that seemed too big to overcome, I now see that God was already preparing a way long before I even knew the struggle existed. Those moments of hardship weren’t meant to break me, but to shape me into who I am today. His provisions were always there, even when I didn’t recognize them.

The story of Joseph in the Bible is a perfect example of how God’s provisions unfold across time. Betrayed by his own brothers and sold into slavery, Joseph’s path was filled with pain and uncertainty. Yet, through it all, God had a greater plan. Joseph was placed in Egypt, falsely accused, and imprisoned, but God’s hand was on him. Eventually, he was elevated to a position of power, where he was able to save his family and the nation from famine (Genesis 37-50). What Joseph endured in his past set the stage for the future provision of many. This story teaches me that nothing in my past is wasted, and God’s plan is always at work—even in the darkest moments.

In my own life, when I’ve faced seasons of uncertainty, God was already paving a way forward. The financial provisions, the people He placed in my life, and the opportunities I couldn’t have orchestrated on my own—those were all examples of His faithfulness. As it says in Philippians 4:19, “And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” This verse reminds me that God isn’t just a provider of things, but of wisdom, peace, and strength when I need it most.

God has a way of weaving together our past and future in ways that only He understands. Every lesson learned, every door closed, and every unexpected blessing has been a part of His plan. Look at Moses—he fled Egypt as a fugitive, yet God was preparing him in the wilderness to return as the leader who would deliver His people from bondage (Exodus 2-14). Moses’ past, though filled with mistakes and fear, was used to accomplish God’s future purpose. Like Moses, our past is the foundation, the reminder that God has never left our side.

As I look toward the future, I’m reminded that the same God who provided for me yesterday will provide for me tomorrow. His promises don’t change, and His provisions are never-ending. The things I’ve overcome in the past give me the faith to trust in what’s coming next. In Matthew 6:25-34, Jesus tells us not to worry about our future because our Heavenly Father knows exactly what we need. “Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you” (Matthew 6:33). This promise gives me confidence as I move forward, knowing that my future is secure in His hands.

The beauty of it all is that the past, present, and future are tied together by God’s constant presence in our lives. Nothing catches Him by surprise. Just as He provided manna for the Israelites in the wilderness day by day (Exodus 16), He continues to provide for us one step at a time. I trust that the same God who carried me through yesterday is already working out what I need for tomorrow. He’s the God of every season, and He’s already gone before me.

So, I stand in faith, knowing that the past has equipped me, the present sustains me, and the future is held securely in His hands.

Think about All God has done for you! What He will do! What is on the way! What a mighty God we serve!
