A Kiss from Rose | Growth — What It Really Takes

Everyone wants growth…

But not everyone wants what it takes to grow.

Because growth is not comfortable.

It stretches you.

It corrects you.

It exposes you.

It requires you to unlearn habits…

to face yourself honestly…

to let go of what feels familiar.

Growth costs.

It costs your comfort.

It costs your ego.

It costs the version of you that can no longer go where you’re headed.

💡 What Does It Take to Grow?

It takes:

Discipline — doing what’s right even when you don’t feel like it

Accountability — owning your actions without excuses

Patience — trusting the process when results aren’t instant

Correction — accepting when you’re wrong and choosing to change

Separation — leaving people, places, and habits that stunt you

And most importantly…

It takes obedience to God.

Because real growth is not just personal…

It’s spiritual.

📖 Let’s Talk About Growth in the Bible — Saul to Paul

One of the most powerful examples of growth is Saul, who became Paul.

Saul was not just imperfect…

He was actively doing wrong.

He persecuted Christians.

Approved of their suffering.

Thought he was right in what he was doing.

Until one moment changed everything.

📖 Acts 9

On the road to Damascus, Saul had a direct encounter with Jesus.

He was stopped.

Blinded.

Humbled.

And in that moment…

Everything he thought he knew was challenged.

🔥 Here’s the growth process:

God didn’t just change his name…

He changed his heart.

Saul had to:

• Sit in darkness before gaining true sight

• Be led when he once led himself

• Unlearn everything he thought was right

• Accept correction from the very people he once harmed

That’s growth.

And Paul didn’t become great overnight.

He went through process.

Rejection.

Testing.

Preparation.

But he stayed committed.

And because of that…

He became one of the most impactful voices in the Bible.

💭 Let’s Bring It Back to You

Growth is not about where you start.

It’s about what you’re willing to become.

Because if God can transform Saul into Paul…

He can transform you.

📖 2 Corinthians 5:17

“If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature…”

💡 Real Talk

You can’t grow…

and stay the same.

You can’t elevate…

and hold onto everything.

You can’t ask God for more…

and resist His process.
