A Kiss from Rose | God Holds the GPS Devotional

“In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.” – Proverbs 16:9 (NIV)

We all have plans—dreams, goals, and carefully thought-out steps. But Proverbs 16:9 is a gentle (and powerful) reminder: we can make plans, but it’s God who directs the path.

That doesn’t mean planning is wrong—it means we must stay flexible and faithful. Sometimes, the route shifts, the doors close, or delays come—not to frustrate us, but to protect, prepare, or reposition us.

When your steps are in God’s hands, detours become destiny. Trust that He sees what you can’t. Surrender doesn’t mean giving up—it means giving it to Him.

Are you trusting God to establish your steps, or are you still fighting for control?

Lord, thank You for ordering my steps. Help me to trust You more than I trust my own plans. Redirect me where needed and lead me into the path You designed just for me. Amen.
