A Kiss from Rose | God Has My YES!

There is something powerful about reaching the place where you can tell God, “You have my yes.” Not a conditional yes. Not a yes only when the instructions are comfortable. Not a yes that depends on knowing how everything is going to turn out. But a surrendered, trusting, wholehearted YES.

God has my yes when I understand the assignment, and He has my yes when I don’t understand a thing. He has my yes when the door opens immediately, and He has my yes when obedience requires me to wait. He has my yes when His direction matches what I wanted, and He still has my yes when He completely changes the plan.

“Here am I; send me.” — Isaiah 6:8 (KJV)

That kind of yes requires trust.

Because sometimes God’s instructions won’t arrive with an explanation. Sometimes He will tell you to move before you know where you’re going. He may tell you to release something you thought you needed, speak when you would rather remain silent, remain still when everything in you wants to move, or begin something you don’t feel qualified to handle.

And your response has to become:

“Nevertheless… God, You still have my yes.”

Mary gave God her yes when she said, “Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word.” (Luke 1:38, KJV). She didn’t know every detail of what her obedience would cost her, but she trusted the One who called her.

Abraham gave God his yes and left what was familiar without knowing exactly where God was taking him.

Jesus gave the Father the ultimate yes in Gethsemane: “Nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.” (Luke 22:42, KJV).

That’s surrender.

And I want God to know:

You don’t have to wrestle a yes out of me.

If You say go, I’ll go.

If You say wait, I’ll wait.

If You say release it, loosen my hands.

If You say receive it, help me stop questioning whether I deserve it.

If You say speak, give me the words.

If You say be still, settle my spirit.

If You redirect me, I’ll trust the turn.

And if Your answer looks completely different from what I prayed for, teach me to recognize that Your wisdom sees what my eyes cannot.

God has my YES because I’ve lived long enough to know that His direction can protect me from things I never saw coming. His no can be mercy. His wait can be preparation. His move can be deliverance. And His unexpected detour can lead directly into something I didn’t even know to ask Him for.

So, Father, You have my yes before I know the details.

You have my yes before I see the outcome.

You have my yes when obedience costs me something.

You have my yes when nobody else understands it.

You have my yes when I’m excited.

And You have my yes when my voice trembles saying it.

Because I’ve finally learned that surrendering to God isn’t losing control of my life.

It’s placing my life into the hands of the One who already knows exactly where it’s going.

💌 Grandma’s Corner

Sometimes the greatest prayer you can pray isn’t long.

It isn’t complicated.

It isn’t filled with fancy words.

Sometimes you simply look toward Heaven and say:

“God, whatever You are doing with this life You gave me…

You have my yes.”

And then live like you meant it.

YES to His will.

YES to His timing.

YES to His correction.

YES to His direction.

YES to His protection.

YES to His assignments.

YES to the doors He opens.

YES to the doors He closes.

And above everything else—

YES, LORD.

You have my yes.
