A Kiss from Rose | God Checking the Uncheckable

Some people walk around untouched
Unaccountable. Untouchable. Unbothered.
Nobody can correct them, challenge them, or call them out — because in their mind, they are never wrong
They have built walls so high that even wisdom can’t climb them
You can’t tell them anything
You can’t question them
You can’t guide them — not because you are wrong, but because they are too proud to listen
Their pride is louder than their prayers
Their ego is bigger than their ears
They talk like they wrote the Bible and walk like consequences can’t find them
But here’s what I’ve learned
When no one else can check you… God will
And when He does, it hits different
God knows how to expose what’s hidden
He knows how to humble the high places and silence the arrogance
He doesn’t shout — He allows life to speak for Him
He will sit you down in a way that no argument, no clapback, and no fake confidence can fix
He’ll take the very thing you boasted about and use it to break you
He’ll let what you idolized humiliate you
He’ll strip the spotlight and make you face yourself in the dark
Not to embarrass you, but to rebuild what your pride has ruined
Because while people play with grace — God corrects out of love
And He does not care about your title, your followers, your platform, or your good intentions
He wants your heart — and He will tear through your delusion to get to it
He’ll break what ego built — not to destroy you, but to deliver you
Because correction is love
Accountability is protection
And when you think you are above all rebuke, you are one step away from collapse
So if no one can come for you — let God do it
Let Him search your heart
Let Him deal with the pride you have disguised as “being real”
Let Him shake up that untouchable attitude you wear like armor
Because when God checks you, He’s not coming to impress you
He’s coming to change you
To heal you
To free you from the version of yourself that’s blocking the blessing
“God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.” — James 4:6
Sometimes, the message may not be what you want to hear. Yet, it is always backed up by facts. In the words of my mother, “What does the WORD say?”
Need to know, here you go.
🔹 Accountability and Correction
Hebrews 12:6 — “For whom the Lord loves He chastens, and scourges every son whom He receives.”
Proverbs 3:11-12 — God corrects those He loves like a father does his child.
🔹 Pride and Ego
James 4:6 — “God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”
Proverbs 16:18 — “Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.”
Obadiah 1:3 — “The pride of your heart has deceived you…”
🔹 Refusing Correction
Proverbs 12:15 — “The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, but he who heeds counsel is wise.”
Proverbs 15:10 — “Harsh discipline is for him who forsakes the way, and he who hates correction will die.”
Proverbs 29:1 — “He who is often rebuked, and hardens his neck, will suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy.”
🔹 God Using Life to Teach
Galatians 6:7 — “Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap.”
God allows consequences to teach (e.g., David’s sin with Bathsheba, 2 Samuel 12)
🔹 God Searching the Heart
Jeremiah 17:10 — “I, the Lord, search the heart, I test the mind…”
Psalm 139:23-24 — “Search me, O God, and know my heart…”
🔹 No One Above Correction
Romans 3:23 — “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”
Even apostles like Peter were publicly corrected (Galatians 2:11-14).
