You can ask countless people for help and still end up stuck.
Sometimes, you can ask 20 people and get 20 “nos,” blank stares, or empty promises.
But then — out of nowhere — you ask one person… and everything shifts.
That’s the power of asking the right person at the right time.
The wrong help will leave you going in circles. The right help? It’ll launch you into purpose — straight out of the stratosphere.
Look at the man at the Pool of Bethesda.
He had been waiting for 38 years. Surrounded by people. Asking. Hoping. Watching.
But nothing changed — until Jesus walked by and asked, “Do you want to be made whole?”
One encounter. One conversation. One right person — and his healing came immediately. (John 5:1-9)
Or Ruth.
She followed Naomi, not knowing that one connection would lead her to Boaz — a man of favor and provision. She could have begged in every field and gotten nowhere. But the right field, the right person, and God’s hand? She went from gleaning leftovers to being part of the lineage of Jesus. (Ruth 2)
Even Joseph.
He interpreted dreams in prison and helped people who forgot about him. But when Pharaoh called for him — just one person — Joseph’s life changed in a day. He went from the prison to the palace. From overlooked to overqualified. (Genesis 41)
So yes, ask for help — but don’t be discouraged if the crowd says no.
Because when God appoints the right person, it won’t take 100 conversations. It’ll take one.
It only takes one “yes” from the right person to break what years of “no” could never touch.
“Promotion comes neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. But God is the judge: He puts down one, and sets up another.” — Psalm 75:6-7
