A Kiss from Rose | Focus on the Kingdom and Everything Else Will Follow Devotional

“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” – Matthew 6:33 (ESV)

Life pulls at you from every direction—money, relationships, goals, responsibilities. It’s easy to get caught up in chasing things, fixing things, or fearing what’s next. But Jesus speaks directly to that anxiety in the book of Matthew. He says, seek God first, not last. Put Him in front, not behind your plans.

When you prioritize the kingdom, peace follows. When you choose righteousness over rushing, clarity shows up. God already knows what you need—He’s just waiting on you to shift your focus.

Your provision is not in your panic. It’s in your position. Stay aligned with God. Stay close to His Word. And let everything else follow His lead.

Are you seeking God first—or after everything else fails?

Lord, help me to make You my priority, not my backup plan. I trust that when I seek Your will, You’ll take care of my needs. Help me to rest in the truth that You’ve already gone before me. Amen.
