A Kiss from Rose | Flying on Your Own

As you grow deeper in your spiritual walk, there comes a moment when you must spread your wings and take flight on your own, trusting fully in God to guide and sustain you. Grandma’s Corner has always been a place of encouragement, wisdom, and reflection, helping to prepare you for this journey.

What have you gained here? Perhaps it’s the courage to trust God in the unknown, the strength to rise above challenges, or the faith to walk a path that may feel lonely at times. Through the lessons shared, you’ve likely learned the importance of seeking God’s direction and leaning on His Word.

In moments of reflection, it’s important to ask yourself: Have you sought out or found a church home? Finding a spiritual family can be a transformative part of the journey. I know a few who have made this decision recently, and they’ve shared how much it has strengthened their walk with God. Hebrews 10:24-25 reminds us: “And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.”

Grandma’s Corner has taught us the value of community and accountability. While personal reflection and growth are essential, being planted in a church home provides spiritual nourishment and fellowship with like-minded believers who can support you as you take flight.

Perhaps you’ve also learned the importance of trusting God’s timing. Isaiah 40:31 encourages us: “But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.” This verse reminds us that when we take flight in faith, God will renew our strength, even when the journey feels overwhelming.

Flying on your own doesn’t mean flying alone. God’s Word, the lessons from Grandma’s Corner, and the support of a spiritual community will be your foundation. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths.”

So, what have you learned here? Have you taken the step of finding a place to call your spiritual home? This is your season to rise, trusting that God’s hand will always uphold you, and His Spirit will always lead you.
