A Kiss from Rose | Five Days to Ensure Our Prayers Are In Day 2

Forgiving Myself – Releasing the Weight

Father God,

Thank You for the gift of today. For the breath in my lungs, the beat in my chest, and the grace that meets me before my feet hit the floor.

Today, I come to You for something heavy—something I’ve carried for too long.

Lord, I need help forgiving myself.

For the pain I’ve endured.

For the trauma I didn’t ask for.

For the damage I’ve experienced and—if I’m honest—the damage I’ve caused, knowingly and unknowingly.

I lay it all at Your feet. Every regret. Every moment I replay. Every question I won’t let go of. Let me be okay without the answers and without the closure. Even if it never makes sense. Even if I never hear “I’m sorry.” Even if I never get to say what I needed to say.

I cast all my cares unto You.

Every burden.

Every “what if.”

Every “why did I.”

Every “I wish I hadn’t.”

Let me be free from it all. Issue-free.

So I can move through this life light-hearted and light-minded—no more guilt, no more shame, no more rehearsing old wounds.

Father, forgive me—and help me forgive me too. I want to feel the fullness of Your love again. I want to stop blocking it with guilt and condemnation. You already said I’m forgiven. So why am I still punishing myself?

Today, I let it go.

I lay it down.

I release it all.

Let Your love overflow in me until it drowns out every lie I’ve told myself. Let me walk boldly and confidently in this prayer, knowing that through Your mercy and grace, I am not only healed—I am whole.

Thank You for loving me even when I didn’t love myself.

Thank You for forgiving me before I even asked.

And thank You for making this a safe place for me to be honest and unburdened.

Through this prayer, may Your love be magnified.

May it be undeniable.

May it be felt.

In Jesus’ name,

Amen.
