A Kiss from Rose | Faith Doubters

Not one person hasn't shown doubt or little faith at one point or another in their lifetime. We all are human. Some of the things we may have been going through might have tested our faith more than what we anticipated. With the pressures of life bearing down on our mental health, we may not know what to do, how it will turn out, or we may not have been able to see any way out; we may have felt hopeless. Some people may think my faith has always been strong, and I never doubted God. Then I pose the question today, why did you go to the alter five times about the same thing? God heard you the first time. We are to go to the altar and leave it there, from my understanding. After talking to God, why did you call your mother, father, friend, associate, or talk to anyone with two ears? Continually asking, how do they think it will turn out? They do not know. Trusting in God and having faith that He will work it out is not as easy as we claim because we get in the way. If we remove ourselves and the doubt, we can ultimately have faith and trust that He has it under control. Sometimes we have to get out of our head, off of the phone, and allow God to move as He pleases.
Matthew 14:28-31
28 "Lord, if it's you," Peter replied, "tell me to come to you on the water."
29 "Come," he said.
Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. 30 But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, "Lord, save me!"
31 Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. "You of little faith," he said, "why did you doubt?"
Matthew 21:18-22
18 Early in the morning, as Jesus was on his way back to the city, he was hungry. 19 Seeing a fig tree by the road, he went up to it but found nothing on it except leaves. Then he said to it, "May you never bear fruit again!" Immediately the tree withered.
20 When the disciples saw this, they were amazed. "How did the fig tree wither so quickly?" they asked.
21 Jesus replied, "Truly I tell you, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and it will be done. 22 If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer."
Mark 9:21-24
21 Jesus asked the boy's father, "How long has he been like this?"
"From childhood," he answered. 22 "It has often thrown him into fire or water to kill him. But if you can do anything, take pity on us and help us."
23 "'If you can'?" said Jesus. "Everything is possible for one who believes."
24 Immediately the boy's father exclaimed, "I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!"
Doing better is something we all must do. I call my mother, aunt, and friends as well. So, I pray that we all become strengthened in our faith.
