A Kiss from Rose | Don’t Mishandle or Mismanage Your Blessings

One of the greatest misconceptions we have is believing that receiving a blessing is the finish line. In reality, receiving the blessing is often just the beginning. God is not only concerned with whether He can bless you—He’s also concerned with whether you can steward what He places in your hands.

To mishandle a blessing is to misuse, neglect, or dishonor what God has entrusted to you.

To mismanage a blessing is to fail to care for it with wisdom, responsibility, and gratitude.

A blessing isn’t limited to money.

Your blessing could be your marriage.

Your children.

Your health.

Your friendships.

Your influence.

Your career.

Your ministry.

Your home.

Your peace.

Your time.

Your gifts.

Every blessing requires stewardship.

Think about it. How often do we pray for more while overlooking what we already have? We ask God for increase but neglect what He’s already entrusted to us. We ask for a larger platform but don’t faithfully serve where we are. We ask for more income while mismanaging the income we already receive. We pray for healthy relationships while failing to nurture the ones God has already given us.

God isn’t just looking at what you desire…

He’s looking at how you handle what you’ve already received.

Jesus taught this principle in Luke 16:10:

“Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much.”

Faithfulness today prepares you for increase tomorrow.

Every blessing carries responsibility.

When we mishandle God’s blessings, we don’t just affect the present—we can delay opportunities for the future. Poor stewardship can strain relationships, damage trust, waste resources, and cause us to miss lessons that prepare us for our next season. But when we manage God’s blessings well, we position ourselves to grow in wisdom, maturity, and gratitude.

This isn’t about earning God’s love. His love is freely given. It’s about honoring Him with what He has already entrusted to us.

💌 Grandma’s Corner

Don’t just ask God for another blessing…

Ask Him to make you a better steward.

Take care of what you have.

Protect your peace.

Invest in your relationships.

Guard your integrity.

Manage your time.

Develop your gifts.

Honor your commitments.

Be grateful for today’s provision while trusting God for tomorrow’s increase.

Because every blessing is a seed.

How you care for it today determines what it becomes tomorrow.

Remember the words of 1 Peter 4:10:

“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.”

God never wastes a blessing.

Neither should we.

When you honor what God has placed in your hands, you demonstrate that your heart is prepared for what He has yet to bring.

Don’t mishandle what Heaven has entrusted to you.

Your future may very well be hidden in how you steward your present.
