A Kiss from Rose | Do Not Blow It

In every aspect of our lives, God has already provided us with His divine instructions and the order we should follow. It is crucial to heed His word rather than be swayed by others, for making the right choices according to His guidance ensures that we live a life of purpose and fulfillment. Here are key areas of life where God’s instructions are clear:

1. Your Life

God has a plan for each of us, and He has given us His Word to guide our steps. The Bible tells us:

Proverbs 3:5-6: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight."

We must trust in God's plan and not be misled by others' opinions.

2. Your Marriage

Marriage is a sacred covenant, and God provides clear guidance on how to honor it:

Ephesians 5:25:"Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her."

This verse underscores the importance of selfless love and devotion in marriage, which should not be compromised by external influences.

3. Your Friends

Choosing friends wisely is essential, as they can influence your walk with God:

- Proverbs 13:20: "Walk with the wise and become wise, for a companion of fools suffers harm."

God advises us to surround ourselves with wise and godly friends to help us stay on the right path.

4. Your Parents

Honoring your parents is a commandment that comes with a promise:

Ephesians 6:2-3:"Honor your father and mother—which is the first commandment with a promise—so that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth."

Respecting our parents is crucial, and we should not let others lead us astray from this command.

5. Authority

God calls us to respect and submit to authority:

Romans 13:1:"Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God."

Recognizing that all authority is ordained by God helps us to maintain order and respect.

6. Yourself

Understanding and valuing yourself as God's creation is vital:

Psalm 139:14: "I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well."

Recognize your worth and purpose in God's eyes, and do not let others diminish that.

Making the Right Choice

In all these areas, making the right choice means aligning ourselves with God’s Word. It’s easy to blow it by succumbing to peer pressure, societal expectations, or well-meaning but misguided advice from others. Instead, we must always turn to Scripture for guidance and pray for wisdom and discernment.

James 1:5: "If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you."

By consistently seeking God's will and adhering to His instructions, we can navigate life's challenges and fulfill His purpose for us. Remember, it's easy to blow it if we deviate from His path, but by staying grounded in His Word, we secure our steps and live in His blessings.
