A Kiss from Rose | Disappointment, Lies, and Neglect

Disappointment, lies, and neglect hurt in ways that words rarely capture.

Sometimes it is not the action that wounds the most—it is the person you never thought would do it.

Disappointment often creeps in quietly, showing up when expectations are met with silence or inconsistency. Lies dress themselves up as protection, but they leave behind confusion, distrust, and pain. Neglect is the hardest to name because it feels like absence—when someone sees your need but chooses not to show up.

You will know them by the patterns, not the apologies.

The ones who disappoint often overpromise and underdeliver.

The ones who lie tend to rearrange the truth to suit their comfort.

The ones who neglect leave you feeling unseen, unheard, and undervalued—until you no longer ask for anything at all.

But here’s what God does with all of that…

He gathers the broken pieces you did not even realize were falling. He replaces lies with truth that heals. He restores what others overlooked. He fills every empty space with His presence, His love, and His consistency. God does not leave you waiting, wondering, or questioning your worth. He confirms it.

People will fail. But God? Never.

He will expose what is hidden, reveal what is true, and give you peace even in the middle of emotional chaos. He does not just repair—He restores. And what He gives in return will always be better than what you thought you lost.

“People know exactly what they are doing and how it will affect you. Yet, there is a God who sits on high, working diligently on your behalf. “ - Alston Shropshire
