A Kiss from Rose | Always Ready To Fight But Never Ready To Heal

If you are always ready to argue

Always ready to defend

Always ready to clap back

Always looking for the next person to challenge, correct, or cut off

How are you ever at peace

You say you are protecting your energy

But what you are really doing is guarding your wounds

You say you do not take mess

But the truth is, you carry so much of it inside that you can barely breathe

Being on edge all the time is not strength

It is survival

And survival is not the same as healing

Fighting everyone and everything is not discernment

It is defense

And when you live in defense mode, peace cannot settle there

You cannot keep sharpening your words like weapons and expect to speak life

You cannot always be in combat and call it confidence

You cannot keep expecting war and still pray for rest

So ask yourself

What are you really fighting

Who are you really mad at

What part of you still believes that protection means isolation

That love must hurt

That soft means weak

That vulnerability is dangerous

God did not call you to fight everything that moves

He called you to be still

To trust Him

To let peace guard your heart the way you used to let pride do it

You cannot walk in peace and war with people at the same time

Choose wisely

Because your peace is not found in the last word

It is found in the One who has the final say

“The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.” — Exodus 14:14
