A Kiss from Rose | A Prayer for the Quietly Broken

Most Gracious and Heavenly Father,

Today, I come before You standing in the gap for the one who smiles in public but weeps in silence.

The one who’s holding it together for everyone else — but barely holding themselves.

The one who is “okay” on the outside,

“barely” on the inside,

and hiding the ache behind performance and politeness.

Lord, wrap them in Your arms right now.

Touch the parts of them no one claps for.

Touch the wounds that didn’t get a bandage — only silence.

Touch the place where disappointment lives, where hope has grown tired,

and where strength has become a heavy mask.

You are the God who sees what no one else does.

🕊 You saw Hannah cry where no one else heard her voice.

🕊 You saw Elijah under the broom tree when he wanted to give up.

🕊 You saw Hagar in the wilderness and called her by name.

So I ask you now:

See this one. Call them by name. Rescue them from the weight they pretend doesn’t hurt.

Heal the soul that is crushed by comparison,

paralyzed by pressure,

and quietly begging for peace.

Speak to their storm with the authority only You carry.

Let Your Spirit fill the places where anxiety used to live.

Let Your Word echo louder than their inner critic.

Let Your love cast out the fear that’s been dressed in busyness, perfection, or people-pleasing.

✨ Remind them:

They are not weak for needing rest.

They are not broken beyond repair.

They are not alone — even in their silence.

Because You are still near to the brokenhearted.

And You don’t just comfort — You restore.

Give them the courage to fall apart before You —

so they can be rebuilt with truth, grace, and real joy.

Let this be the day that pretending ends

and healing begins.

In Jesus’ name,

Amen.
