A Kiss from Rose | A Prayer for Our Nation

Heavenly Father, my Rock and my Redeemer,

Lord, I come before You like a mother pleading for her children, like a warrior standing in the gap for the weary. You are the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8), and in You, there is no shadow of turning (James 1:17). When the world shakes and trembles, You remain steadfast, and so I call upon You, O God, to stretch out Your mighty hand over this nation.

Father, there is confusion in the land, uncertainty pressing on every side. Many don’t know what tomorrow holds, but Lord, we know You hold tomorrow (Matthew 6:34). Calm troubled minds, steady wavering hearts, and remind us that You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).

Lord, I lift up our federal workers—those still employed and those who have lost their jobs. Some are weary, some are anxious, but You are Jehovah Jireh, our Provider (Genesis 22:14). Make a way where there seems to be no way, open doors that no man can shut, and supply their needs according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19).

Father, I cry out for the elderly and the vulnerable, those who depend on Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid. Let not the righteous be forsaken or their seed beg for bread (Psalm 37:25). Protect them, Lord. Stretch Your hand over public housing and those who rely on assistance. May they lack nothing, for You are the God who provides manna in the wilderness (Exodus 16:15).

And Lord, let righteousness rise up in this nation. Remove greed and selfish ambition from the hearts of leaders. Give them wisdom that comes from above (James 3:17), that they may govern with justice, compassion, and truth.

Now, Father, I seal this prayer in the mighty name of Jesus! I declare that what the enemy meant for evil, You will turn for good (Genesis 50:20). You are still on the throne, and Your name is still higher than every name (Philippians 2:9). Let the winds of revival blow across this land, and let Your people rise up in faith, not fear!

In Jesus’ mighty, matchless, and sovereign name, I pray.

Amen and Amen!
