The message for today is simple and something we all have thought about at least once in our lives. We have all thought about writing God a letter or asking this question. We have even pondered what His reply would be.
Let’s get into the message for today.
Dear God,
I find myself constantly giving my all to those around me, striving to be everything they need. Yet, in the midst of my efforts, I often feel exhausted, mentally drained, and even depressed. It seems like no one else matches my level of dedication, and I wonder if there's a way to find balance and still maintain my strength. How can I continue to support others without sacrificing my own well-being?
My dear child,
I understand your struggles and the weight you carry. Remember that you are not meant to bear all burdens alone. It is important to care for yourself as much as you care for others. Seek balance by setting healthy boundaries and prioritizing your well-being. Allow yourself to rest and find solace in My presence. Trust that I am here to support you, and that it’s okay to lean on others as well.
"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." - Matthew 11:28
"Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you." - 1 Peter 5:7
Now let us pray.
Heavenly Father,
I come to You seeking strength and balance. Help me to find rest in You and to prioritize my well-being while still serving others. Grant me the wisdom to set boundaries and the courage to ask for help when I need it. Fill me with Your peace, favor, and comfort, and remind me that I am never alone in my struggles. Thank You for Your constant love and care.
Through Jesus, I pray. Amen.
“Forever shall I rest in the arms of the Lord.” - Alston Shropshire
