A Kiss from Rose | A Forgiveness and Repentance Prayer We All Need

Heavenly Father,

I come before You with a humble heart, confessing that I have sinned and fallen short of Your glory. Please forgive me for the wrong decisions I have made—choices I knew were not aligned with Your wisdom, Your Word, or Your will.

Forgive me for my bad behaviors, my actions, and my careless words. Forgive me for the days I moved without seeking You, for the moments I lacked communication with You, and for the times I treated Your presence like an option instead of my lifeline. Lord, forgive me for my unkind days and ways—for the attitudes, tones, reactions, and habits that did not reflect Your instructions or Your heart.

Search me, God, and cleanse me. Forgive me for the unpleasant thoughts and words I have held toward others—whether spoken aloud or hidden in my spirit. Forgive me for my neglectful ways, my selfishness, my stubbornness, and my controlling ways. Forgive me for trying to manage outcomes instead of surrendering them to You.

Father, forgive me for my lack of trust—when I doubted Your timing, questioned Your ways, and leaned on my own understanding. Forgive me for the moments of little faith, for questioning Your will, and for moving slowly in my spiritual walk. Forgive me for my inconsistencies—for being devoted one moment and distracted the next. Forgive me for procrastination, for delayed obedience, and for putting off what You told me to do.

Lord, forgive me for my anxiousness—when fear got louder than faith and worry tried to rule my mind. Forgive me for my repetitive wrongs and behaviors—for returning to what You already delivered me from, and for patterns that grieve Your Spirit.

Today, I repent—not just with words, but with my whole heart. I turn away from everything that dishonors You, and I turn back to You fully. Wash me, renew me, and restore me. Give me a clean heart and a right spirit. Strengthen my will to obey You, and teach my hands to do what is right even when it’s hard.

Help me to love like You. Help me to speak with kindness. Help me to walk with integrity. Align my desires with Your desires. Replace my stubbornness with surrender, my control with trust, my fear with faith, and my inconsistency with steadfast devotion.

And Father, I thank You for not casting me away. Thank You for Your patience with me. Thank You for Your love that covers, Your grace that redeems, and Your mercy that meets me every morning. Please continue to grant me favor, love, grace, and mercy—not because I deserve it, but because You are good, and Your covenant is faithful.

I receive Your forgiveness, and I choose to forgive myself. I believe You are still working in me, and I will keep walking until my life reflects You more and more.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
