A Kiss from Rose | Your Expectation from God Matters

One of the most powerful things you can bring into God’s presence is expectation. Expectation is more than wishful thinking—it’s faith anticipating that God will do exactly what He has promised. It is the posture of a heart that believes God is able, willing, and faithful.

Throughout Scripture, expectation often preceded a miracle. The woman with the issue of blood expected healing, so she pressed through the crowd. Blind Bartimaeus expected Jesus to hear him, so he cried out even louder. The crippled man at the gate called Beautiful expected to receive something. While his expectation was limited to money, God exceeded it by giving him the ability to walk.

Your expectation doesn’t manipulate God, but it positions your heart to recognize and receive what He is doing.

Expectation activates:

• Faith to believe beyond what you can see.

• Hope to keep waiting when the answer hasn’t arrived.

• Perseverance to keep praying instead of giving up.

• Obedience to move when God says move.

• Praise before the breakthrough comes.

• Peace because you trust God is already at work.

  
  

When you stop expecting God to move, you can become comfortable with settling. You begin to accept what God never intended for you to remain in. But when your expectation is rooted in His Word, you live with confidence that He is still opening doors, making ways, healing hearts, restoring families, and fulfilling His promises.

Expectation doesn’t say, “God has to do it my way.”

It says, “God, I trust that You’ll do what’s best in Your way and in Your time.”

Expect.

Don’t just ask…

Believe.

Don’t just hope…

Stand on His promises.

Walk into each day expecting God’s presence to guide you, His favor to surround you, His grace to sustain you, and His will to be accomplished in your life.

Because your expectation is a declaration that you know who God is.

And when your expectation is anchored in Him…

Fear loses its voice.

Faith finds its footing.

Hope comes alive.

And your heart remains open to every good thing God has prepared.

Come expecting.

God is still in the business of exceeding expectations.
