A Kiss from Rose| Who Are You

Do you know who you are? Do you know your origins? Do you constantly feel lost or out of place? I know most people reading this will say, "I know who I am and to whom I belong." Well, if this is indeed the case, then why are you constantly worrying, crying, losing hope, feeling weary, or in despair? Why do you always need reassurance from the pastor, first lady, your mother, aunt, or best friend about how things will turn out, or why is this happening to you? If this belief is so strong, why do your face and body language show confidence in your saying, but your heart and soul are doubtful? Why are you constantly doubting God? Why are you on your knees day in and day out, yet still doubtful that anything will happen in your favor? Why are you giving a praise dance every chance you get, yet still unsure if it is your season? "I am the child of God" is a powerful statement; there should be no doubt. "He supplies all of my needs" is a powerful statement; there should be no doubt. "He covers every door that I walk in with favor" is a powerful statement; there should be no doubt. "My Father is the creator of all things" is a powerful statement; there should be no doubt. "By His stripes, I am healed" is a powerful statement; there should be no doubt. "He shed His blood for me" is a powerful statement; there should be no doubt.

Who am I? Well, let me tell you Who I am; I am the child of the creator of all things. I am His favored child. I am the child of a King. I have His blood flowing through my veins.

I am merciful, I do not judge others, and I forgive quickly. As I do this by God's grace, He blesses my life (Luke 6:36-38).

I can do whatever I need to do in life through Christ Jesus, who gives me strength (Philippians 4:13).

I am God's workmanship, created in Christ to do good works that He has prepared me to do (Ephesians 2:10).

I am the head and not the tail, and I only go up and not down in life as I trust and obey God (Deuteronomy 28:13).

I am redeemed from the curse of sin, sickness, and poverty (Deuteronomy 28:15-68; Galatians 3:13).

"Just like the beating of a drum, you must feel the beat. It comes from within. From the person's soul." I do not praise dance at the drop of the music, I am filled with a fire from the Holy Ghost, that can not be controlled. It is from within."- Alston Shropshire
