There is sickness, death, strife, discord; many things are off-balance, out of sync, and order. Many may become overwhelmed. When you turn on the news, go on social media, or have a simple telephone conversation, there is always something trying to make us sad, down, or draws concern. Sometimes you want to run and hide. No matter how overwhelmed, you get, seek refuge in the Lord. No matter how low things seem to get, pray. When you don't know what to do, turn to the Lord. He is the answer for all things. We must dwell in the Most High so that we can rest in the shadow of the Almighty. Dwelling in Him will allow us not to become overwhelmed.
It is ok to take a step back and hide in the arms of the Lord.
My Heavenly Father, thank You for being a place of refuge. Thank You for not letting anything that is not of You overtake and overwhelm me. Thank You for having Your angels of protection surrounding me. Thank You for penetrating my mind and keeping me sane and spiritually sound. Wrap Your loving and healing arms around all of us in this world. Father, we all need Your grace and mercy. In Jesus' name Amen.
