You can be strong, chosen, and victorious—
And still find yourself in a moment of weakness.
That was Samson.
After winning a battle that should’ve killed him, Samson didn’t strut in pride—he fell to his knees in thirst. Not spiritual thirst, but real, physical desperation. He cried out to God, weak and gasping, saying,
“You’ve given me this great victory… now shall I die of thirst?”
And God, in His mercy, split open a hollow place in the rock.
Water flowed. Samson drank.
His strength was revived, and his life was restored.
This is for the one who is weary after the fight.
For the one who’s been strong for everyone else, but now you’re the one gasping for breath, wondering if you’ll make it through.
You’ve fought, you’ve endured, you’ve stood firm…
And now? You’re tired.
Cry out.
God is not just the giver of victory—He is the sustainer of life.
He sees your thirst. He hears your cry.
And even if the well seems dry, He will bring water from the most unlikely places.
You don’t have to pretend to be okay.
Even Samson—mighty, chosen, anointed—needed a drink.
So do you.
And just like God opened up the rock for him, He will open up what is hidden and pour out what you need—right when you need it.
“Then he became very thirsty; so he cried out to the Lord… So God split the hollow place that is in Lehi, and water came out, and he drank; and his spirit returned, and he revived.” — Judges 15:18-19 (NKJV)
