A Kiss from Rose | The Rain is Coming
And I'm not talking about the kind you need an umbrella for!
Somebody needs to hear this today!
GET READY FOR SOME RAIN!
Not the rain of trouble, disappointment, heartbreak, or another situation that makes you ask, “Lord, what NOW?”
I'm talking about SHOWERS OF BLESSINGS AND FAVOR!
The kind of rain that refreshes what has been dry, nourishes what has been planted, and reminds you that a difficult season doesn't have to be your permanent condition.
Ezekiel 34:26 says:
“And I will cause the shower to come down in his season; there shall be showers of blessing.” (KJV)
Now, God spoke those words as a promise of restoration to His people Israel. But what a beautiful reminder of His ability to restore, provide, and bring life where things have been dry!
And I'm praying for that kind of goodness over my life!
LET IT RAIN, LORD!
Rain down peace where worry has been taking up too much space.
Rain down healing over wounded hearts, exhausted minds, hurting bodies, and the places nobody knows are still tender.
Rain down financial provision, bills being met, resources being managed wisely, and relief from the pressure of trying to make everything stretch.
Rain down favor, meaningful opportunities, open doors, divine connections, and the courage to walk through the right ones.
Rain down clarity where confusion has been loud.
Rain down wisdom for decisions that cannot afford another round of guesswork.
Rain down discernment to recognize what's genuine, what's deceptive, and what's simply not for me.
Rain down restoration in families, friendships, marriages, and relationships where healing and accountability can make room for something healthier.
Rain down strength for the tired, comfort for the grieving, and hope for those who have almost stopped expecting anything good.
Rain down employment opportunities, business growth, creative ideas, debt relief, stability, safe housing, reliable transportation, and help for families trying to get back on their feet.
Rain down confidence without arrogance, boundaries without bitterness, love without manipulation, generosity without exploitation, and joy without guilt.
And Lord, while You're sending rain, don't forget the little things!
Good news. Unexpected kindness. Genuine laughter. Peaceful mornings. Restful nights. Beautiful conversations. Healthy friendships. Celebrations. Safe travels. Family gatherings. Reasons to smile for absolutely no reason at all!
Because every blessing doesn't arrive in a big envelope with a check inside.
Sometimes the blessing is a quiet mind.
Sometimes it's a doctor's encouraging report.
Sometimes it's an apology you never expected.
Sometimes it's having enough.
Sometimes it's finally being able to breathe.
And sometimes it's waking up and realizing, “I still have a life worth enjoying!”
But here's something else about rain.
Rain doesn't only refresh what's growing. It exposes what needs attention.
So God, if there's something in me that needs changing, let Your Word do its work.
If there's a seed I need to plant, give me discipline.
If there's something I need to release, give me courage.
And if I've been standing around waiting for a harvest while refusing to do any planting—
Lord, help me get myself together!
Because I don't just want blessings falling around me.
I want to be prepared to steward what You place in my hands.
And no, I'm not claiming that every prayer will be answered by Friday or that every desire will arrive exactly as I imagined.
I'm declaring that God is still good, still generous, still faithful, and still able to bring refreshing into my life.
So let it rain!
RAIN DOWN GRACE!
RAIN DOWN MERCY!
RAIN DOWN FAVOR!
RAIN DOWN PROVISION!
RAIN DOWN HEALING!
RAIN DOWN WISDOM!
RAIN DOWN RESTORATION!
RAIN DOWN PEACE!
RAIN DOWN JOY!
RAIN DOWN LOVE!
RAIN DOWN NEW BEGINNINGS!
And when the blessings come, may I have enough gratitude to recognize them, enough wisdom to manage them, and enough generosity to become a blessing to somebody else.
Because I'm not asking God to fill my cup just so I can admire how full it is.
I WANT THE GOODNESS OF GOD TO OVERFLOW INTO THE LIVES OF OTHERS TOO!
So I'm putting the umbrella away.
I'm lifting my hands.
I'm opening my heart.
And I'm saying:
LORD, LET IT RAIN!
Whatever You send, help me receive it with gratitude, handle it with wisdom, and give You the glory!
