A Kiss from Rose | If You’re Looking for Perfection… You’ll Always Be Disappointed

Let’s be clear:

Anyone who truly knows the Word knows this — no one is perfect and no one is free from sin.

“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” — Romans 3:23

“There is none righteous, no, not one.” — Romans 3:10

So if you are watching my life, waiting to catch a mistake…

If you are expecting every move I make to be flawless, spirit-led, and polished —

You are going to be disappointed.

Because I am human.

I get it wrong. I fall short. I mess up.

But I get back up — because grace is still active, and mercy is still moving.

And on the other side — if I held you to a standard of perfection, I would be setting myself up for disappointment too.

Because we all have something we are working through.

We all have struggles we do not post.

We all have thorns in our side that keep us humble.

Yet somehow, we demand perfection from God.

We question Him.

We complain.

We say, “I have been waiting on You.”

“When will it happen for me?”

“Why them and not me?”

We treat His divine timing like a flaw.

We treat His wisdom like it is off schedule.

We act like His blessings are too small.

We are not satisfied with anything.

The weather is never right.

The house is never big enough.

The money is never enough.

The job is not fulfilling.

The relationship has issues.

Even our health — the ability to breathe, move, wake up — is something we take for granted.

But let me remind you — you could be dead.

You could be in a hospital.

You could be out of your right mind.

You could be alone with no one praying for you.

But God has protected you, provided for you, and preserved you — even while you were complaining.

Every time we grumble about what we do not have,

We are throwing jabs at what God has already given.

His protection.

His provision.

His divine placement.

His sustaining grace.

So no, I am not perfect.

And no, God does not owe me perfection either.

But He gives me what no one else can — unconditional love, endless mercy, and unmatched patience.

Instead of demanding flawlessness from others or from God,

Let’s take a moment to say: Thank You for not giving up on me
