Have you been hurt so much from the beginning of your existence? Are all you expect is hurt, pain, betrayal, and abandonment? Do you have the mentality such as, "I am not going to be hurt anymore by anyone!" Is your guard is continuously up? Are you always ready for war? Are you prepared to be left alone? Well, what type of life are you creating for yourself? You can't be happy, even if you have a smile on your face; Not creating this type of environment for yourself. You are self-destructing. Aren't you tired? I am sure everyone around you is. While everyone is running from the wall you have built (to keep them out), secretly, you wish someone would try to knock the wall down. To come in and just love on you. How about you start? Takedown your wall and let people in. Tell your story. The real story! Cry if you have to, who cares? You deserve to be loved. You deserve to live out your purposefully. How can you live out anything behind a wall that you are holding on to? Every tough guy has a soft spot. It is much work to be tough every day.
Forgive yourself and be received by others. Allow others to love you truly.
Today is take five bricks down from your walls so others can see inside and be able to look at you. Doing so will allow you to see others and how they are not a threat to you. In your vulnerability, there still is much strength.
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.
2 Corinthians 12:9-10
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
