A Kiss from Rose | Do Not Stunt Your Child's Growth

You can stunt their growth by not allowing them to have a voice. Parents need to listen also. Here are some ways you can stunt your child's growth.

  1. A child needs instructions, order, discipline, and wise counsel. You can be their friend; the assignment God gave you was that of a parent. You can stunt their growth by trying to be their friend first and not their parent. Being too close and out of order will affect your marriage if you are not careful (parents).

  2. You can stunt their growth by not teaching them how to respect boundaries and order. They will need these attributes throughout their life.

  3. You can stunt their growth by not allowing them to cleave to their marriage. Allowing your child to cleave to their is about respecting order as well.

  4. You can stunt their growth by not teaching them the fundamentals of life: respect, effective communication, good morale practices, good comprehension skills, drive, self-respect, work ethic, positive mindset, determination, goal-focused, the importance of academic awareness, servicing their community and service work, humility, etc.

  5. You can stunt their growth by not teaching them the power and importance of prayer.

  6. You can stunt their growth by not showing them how to value themselves and others.

These are just some ways, as parents, we can do better, so we do not stunt the growth of our children.

The rate of divorce, death, incarceration, broken home, elder, child, and physical abuse is lower with increased growth. More importantly, the marriage rate, business ownerships, graduations, successful interactions, and personal care are rising.

How are you raising your children, grandchildren, foster children, or adopted? Are you stunting their growth? Will they have a successful life, marriage, or interactions with others? I pray no one is growth-preventing.
