💥 Don’t try to do eye surgery on others while you’re walking around with a log in yours.
📖 Matthew 7:3 (KJV)
“And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?”
🔥 What This Really Means:
👀 You Saw The Speck—But Missed the Plank.
It’s easy to critique, harder to correct yourself.
🧹 You Can’t Clean Their House While Yours is Still Dusty.
Judgment without reflection is hypocrisy with makeup.
⚖️ This Is Not a Call to Silence—It’s a Call to Surrender.
Yes, you can hold others accountable… after you’ve let God hold you first.
💡 Let’s Break It Down:
The “mote” = their small flaw.
The “beam” = your big, obvious one.
The message = check your heart before checking someone else’s life.
🔍 Think About It:
• Have I prayed about myself before posting about someone else?
• Am I correcting with love—or controlling from ego?
• Do I want to help them grow, or do I just want to be “right”?
🚫 Let’s Be Clear:
This verse doesn’t mean you can’t speak truth…
It means your truth-telling should be soaked in humility, healing, and Holy Spirit guidance—not superiority.
🙌🏽 PRAYER:
Lord,
Help me see myself clearly before I try to see others critically.
Remove the beams of bitterness, pride, judgment, and insecurity from my heart.
Teach me to lead with grace, not gossip.
When I speak, let it be from a place of restoration—not retaliation.
Give me divine vision to look inward before I look around.
And help me walk like Jesus—not just talk like Him.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
💌 GRANDMA’S NOTE:
You can’t point fingers with dirty hands.
Wipe your own lenses first… then maybe God will call you to help someone else see.
