A Kiss from Rose |An Evening Prayer After a Long Day

Most Gracious and Heavenly Father,

Thank You for carrying me through this day.

Lord, tonight I’m putting it all down.

It was long. Some moments were heavy. Some things went right, some went wrong, and some are still unresolved. But tonight, I refuse to carry tomorrow’s worries into today’s rest.

I give You what I cannot fix, control, change, or understand.

Quiet my thoughts. Settle my heart. Relax my body. Restore what today drained from me.

Forgive me where I fell short, and help me release anyone who frustrated, disappointed, or hurt me today.

Watch over my family, my home, and everyone I love. Let Your peace fill every room and Your protection surround us through the night.

Your Word says, “I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety.” — Psalm 4:8 (KJV)

So tonight, Lord, I’m clocking out.

The problems can wait.

The unanswered questions can wait.

The to-do list can wait.

I’VE DONE ENOUGH FOR TODAY.

Thank You for getting me through it.

Now, Lord, give me the grace to rest.

In Jesus' name, amen.
