When you think about the goodness of the Lord, all we should be saying is, "Lord, I thank You!"
We all need to be shouting right now, to the top of our lungs, "Lord, I thank You!" Well, some of you may be way too bougie, unwilling, or closed off to say, "Lord, I thank You." Some of you may not think you have experienced the goodness of the Lord. You might not have realized it was Him who woke you up this morning, or it was Him who covered you during the night. You may not realize it was Him who protected you or your children in the streets. You may not realize it was Him in the operating room, that it was Him moving cancer from the images, and the reason your diagnosis changed to we don't see anything. You may not realize that you did not qualify for the house/car, but God stamped the approval so you can get it. You may not realize your background wouldn't allow you to get the job, but God moved through the person to give you a chance. You may not realize you should have been fired twenty years ago, but God kept you employed for the sake of your family needing stability. But it was all because of the goodness of the Lord! When you realize it is because of the goodness of the Lord, your soul will cry out, "Yes, Lord, I thank you!"
If any of these things happened to you, then say, "Lord, I thank You!
The fire didn't kill me- Lord, I thank You!
The accident didn't kill me- Lord, I thank You!
Covid- 19 didn't kill me - Lord, I thank You!
You healed my body - Lord, I thank You!
When my parents left me, You took over - Lord, I thank You!
When he/she left me with the children - Lord, I thank You!
When the lights were off, but we still had a roof over our heads - Lord, I thank You!
When the gas was off, but we had blankets to keep warm - Lord, I thank You!
When there was no food to eat, you sent Your people to feed us- Lord, I thank You!
When there was no money, You still provided - Lord, I thank You!
When my marriage didn't work, You stayed with me- Lord, I thank You!
When I lost my home/ car, You provided another - Lord, I thank You!
When I lost my job, I didn't lose a beat, and I got another one - Lord, I thank You!
When I didn't see any way out, You sent a ram from the bush- Lord, I thank You!
When I cried, You wiped my tears away- Lord, I thank You!
When I prayed, You answered them- Lord, I thank You!
You penetrated my mind and heart- Lord, I thank You!
When I needed a way out of a toxic relationship, You rescued me- Lord, I thank You!
You granted me grace- Lord, I thank You!
You granted me mercy- Lord, I thank You!
You granted me favor- Lord, I thank You!
You granted me the victory- Lord, I thank You!
You granted me power and authority- Lord, I thank You!
Now can you do you realize why all you can say is, "Lord, I thank You?
