A Kiss from Rose | A Friend Named Carol

I often speak about friendships because these people play vital roles in our lives. They are our secret holders, our prayer and accountability partners. Our friends are our laughing buddies, our shoulder to cry on, our family, and most importantly, our prayer partners.

I am going to describe a friend by the name of Carol. I want you to look around and see if you have any Carols in your life, whether male or female.

Carol is a friend whose eyes are watering up when you cry if she is not crying.

Carol is a friend who genuinely wants to see you win, whether or not it benefits her.

Carol is a friend who is always and shoulder to lean on; however, she values herself to set boundaries so she is not depleted.

Carol is a friend who respects you and whatever situation you have.

Carol is a friend who voices her opinion but respects yours.

Carol is a friend who critiques with love and compassion.

Carol is a friend with whom speaking up and opening up is easy.

Carol is a friend who listens attentively with comprehension and compassion.

Carol is a friend that you want with you in the elevation process.

Carol is a friend who is dedicated to your friendship.

Carol is a friend who does not want to harm you or your feelings.

Carol is a friend who does not place you in compromising positions.

Carol is a friend who lets you in because she trusts you.

Carol is a friend who prays with you.

Carol is a friend who allows you to be vulnerable yet not afraid to be vulnerable herself.

Carol is a friend who doesn't mind putting your first.

Carol is a friend who supports you and assists you with your dreams.

(prayers, tips, corrections, pep talks)

Carol is a friend who will check up on you yet will allow you your space.

Carol is a friend who will call her parents and pastor to pray for you.

Carol is a non-judgmental friend.

Carol is a friend where laughing is easy.

Carol is a peaceful friend.

Carol is a friend who is not trying to control your life, thoughts, or actions.

Carol is a friend that makes you want to be there when she weathers her storms.

Carol is a genuine friend.

Now we all know there is no friend like Jesus. Having a friend like Carol makes this walk on Earth a bit easier.

Appreciate those people in your life. These are the people who do not have to do IT! What is IT? All of the things I just listed. We all know some people who are not willing or able to do IT!

Always take the time to show the Carols in your life how much you appreciate them. Say it, buy thank you cards, purchase lunch, send a text, do something because life is a little bit easier with them in your life.

**Friendly reminder, we are in August; let's not forget to select one day you will fast from 8-12 noon. Also, please do not forget to save. This is our financial fast, and faith without work is dead. Amen? Amen!
