A Kiss from Rose | You Must Do Something to Get Something

In our journey of faith, it's essential to recognize that action is a crucial component. We cannot simply sit idly by; prayer and fasting are indispensable, but so too is taking decisive steps toward our spiritual goals. Drawing inspiration from the Bible, we see numerous examples where individuals took bold actions that brought them closer to God.

First, consider the woman who touched the hem of Jesus' garment. Suffering from a bleeding condition for twelve years, she had exhausted all her resources seeking a cure. In her desperation and faith, she reached out to touch Jesus' cloak, believing it would heal her. Her act of faith was rewarded with immediate healing and a commendation from Jesus for her belief and courage.

Secondly, look at Noah, who lived in a time of widespread corruption. God instructed him to build an ark to survive a coming flood. Despite being ridiculed by others, Noah diligently followed God's command, constructing the ark and gathering animals. His obedience and perseverance saved his family and preserved life on Earth, demonstrating the power of steadfast faith and action.

Lastly, we have the story of David, who faced the giant Goliath. While others were paralyzed by fear, David, armed with faith and a sling, confronted the formidable adversary. His trust in God and willingness to act, even against overwhelming odds, led to a miraculous victory and exemplified the importance of courage and trust in God's power.

These biblical narratives remind us that prayer and fasting are vital. Yet, we cannot forget that taking tangible steps in faith is equally necessary to draw nearer to God and fulfill His purposes in our lives.

Let’s get ready to do something to get something!
