What things or people have you saying no? Is it something that God wants you to do? How do you decipher if it is pleasing to God? Are you consistent in pleasing Him? Most times, people do things or say things without consciousness of whether it is or is not acceptable to God.
Here are some things that are not pleasing to God.
Not honoring your mother and father is not pleasing to God. (No, I am not honoring them.)
Not honoring your marriage is not pleasing to God. (No, I am not honoring it.)
Not walking in love is not pleasing to God. (No, I am not doing that.)
Saying and doing hurtful things is not pleasing to God. (No, I am not talking nice.)
Judging others is not pleasing to God. (No, I am going to judge them.)
Not praying for others is not pleasing to God. (No, I don't have time for that, I need prayer.)
Misleading, mishandling, and using others are things that are not pleasing to God. (No, I am not treating them right.)
Not staying in or reading your word is not pleasing to God. (No, I don't have time, but God better have time for me.)
Turning others away when you could have helped or led them in a better direction is not pleasing to God. (No, let them find someone else to worry.)
Not being fair is not pleasing to God. (No, they don't deserve to be treated fairly.)
Not doing the right thing is not pleasing to God. (No, doing the right thing never got me anywhere.)
How many of these things have you said "no" I am not going to do it too? Seriously, how many times have you said, "I do not feel like it, they will be alright?" The thing about life is, we all will look into the mirror on judgment day at the end of the day. It may not be easy looking in the mirror, but we all should before we get there. One thing about the mirror, it shows the truth, every blemish, every crack, and flaw.
How will you pan out on judgment day? Honestly, look in the mirror and ask yourself.
