A Kiss from Rose | What Do You Have In Order

Most people think that since they have the car, house, career, children, and spouse, they have it all. We all have it together, don't we? Or do we? Are you sure you have everything that you need in order? Well, we know that there is one thing that is a guarantee, and that is death (Ecclesiastes 12:7 NIV- and the dust returns to the ground it came from, and the spirit returns to God who gave it..). Do you have the essential things you need for your family? No one likes to have this discussion, but it is vital. No, we do not know the day or the hour, but we know it is coming.

Men, and women, what have you prepared at the time of your death? Have you thought about your family enough to sit down and converse? Do you love your family enough to have the proper documents in place? Do they know your wishes or what to do? Do not count on anyone to ensure your wishes are followed through based on a conversation you had in 1986; have proper documentation.

How many go-fund-me accounts have you seen? How many family homes have been lost due to a division in the decisions making process after a loved one has passed?

Have you ever been privy to the behind-the-scenes information about a wedding or a funeral? If you have, you know it can be a hot mess, not just a mess, but a hot one. Not your family? Yes, your family too! Families today barely get along. In-laws, well, in most cases, can go from zero to one hundred quickly. No one wants to discuss that openly either, only behind the scenes—another elephant in the room. Leaving will be hard for those who love you; lets at least leave them as stress-free as possible.

Do you have a will? How about life insurance? Do the people you love know where to find this information? Do your children understand your wishes? Have you filed your will with the court? Do you know probate can last over twenty years if people are not on the same page, procrastinate, or are still in mourning and can't deal with the process?

Getting our affairs in order is necessary.

Affairs we in order when Jesus died. We have inherited the "Holy Spirit." we inherited "eternal salvation" and "eternal redemption." We inherited "grace" and "mercy." Just mentioning those few things should be enough. Had you not inherited those few things, where would you be? Are you not glad that "the affairs" were in order?

So again, I ask, what do you have in order? What will your family inherit from you? Will you leave chaos, stress, and confusion? Or peace of mind, comfort, and your last touch of love?

**Friendly reminder, we are in August; let's not forget to select one day you will fast from 8-12 noon. Also, please do not forget to save. This is our financial fast, and faith without work is dead. Amen? Amen!
