A Kiss from Rose | Trust

Can you hold someone's secrets the way you wish they would keep yours? Can someone trust you with information? When a person betrays another person's trust, the person who is betrayed may hold it against everyone else coming after. Broken trust can have someone in bondage for a lifetime. It can have repercussions going to the wrong person moving forward, the people who have not betrayed you.

When someone confides anything in you, know that it took so much for them to do so.

When someone confides anything in you, please don't make them regret it.

When someone confides anything in you, please be the person you would want them to be to you.

Please do it without judgment or a side-eye. Trusting is not easy.

We tend to judge Judas for betraying Jesus. Judas betrayed Jesus for "30 pieces of silver," identifying him with a kiss in front of Roman soldiers in the Garden of Gethsemane. Do you remember the story? Well, shouldn't Jesus have been able to trust Judas? How did Jesus feel about the situation, even though He knew it would happen? Jesus is the only one who does not hold on to things and purely forgives. We may say that we do (forgive purely), but it may remain in our minds.

I hear the church pew whispering, "that is why I only put my trust in God." Yes and amen. However, realistically, if that were the case, no one would know what is happening in your house. No one would know what's going on in your marriage, with your children, or what baggage you carry. If this were indeed the case, no one would know your business, your storms, your trials, your generational curses, who you truly are, your strongholds, what's going on with your job, your family, or your health. You would only talk to God. With that being said, we do attempt to trust others (because we are human) with our information, hoping our secrets are safe and that they indeed are trustworthy.

Will your lack of trustworthiness cause harm later down the road? Will it change the course of the lives involved forever?

**Friendly reminder, we are in August; let's not forget to select one day you will fast from 8-12 noon. Also, please do not forget to save. This is our financial fast, and faith without work is dead. Amen? Amen!
