A Kiss from Rose | Today, Expect Something Good
You woke up with purpose—walk like it.
Today, don’t wake up expecting another problem. Expect possibility. Expect a reason to smile. Expect a conversation that encourages you, an opportunity you didn’t see coming, a moment of peace that settles your spirit, or simply the strength to handle whatever comes your way.
You don’t have to know everything that’s going to happen today to believe God is already in it.
Some things may not go according to your plan—and that’s okay. A changed plan doesn’t automatically mean a bad day. Sometimes what feels like an interruption is actually redirection. Sometimes what didn’t work saved you from something that wasn’t meant for you. And sometimes God will place a small blessing right in the middle of an ordinary day just to remind you, “I’m still here.”
“This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.” — Psalm 118:24 (KJV)
Notice it says we WILL rejoice.
That’s a decision.
So today, protect your attitude. Don’t give one unpleasant moment permission to steal the remaining hours of your day. Laugh when you can. Be kind. Handle what needs handling. Leave yesterday where it belongs. Stop borrowing trouble from tomorrow.
And pay attention to the little good things.
The unexpected phone call.
The parking space right up front.
The compliment you weren’t expecting.
The prayer that gets answered quietly.
The peace you suddenly feel about something that used to bother you.
The door that finally opens.
Or maybe nothing extraordinary happens at all—and you simply realize:
I’m alive. I’m growing. I’m healing. God kept me. And I still have another opportunity to create something beautiful with my life.

Go into today expecting good.
Not because every moment will be perfect, but because God is present in every moment.
Walk into rooms with your head up.
Smile because you still have reasons to.
Give good energy.
Receive good energy.
And don’t be so busy looking for a gigantic miracle that you overlook the little ways God whispers:
“I thought about you today.”
Today has never happened before.
Go see what God put in it for you.
